Carefully selected
material make the Sommer saddle a natural product that becomes
more beautiful with age. Specially selected leathers from
tanneries worldwide find there way to us. hardware is
exclusively made of stainless steel or solid brass.
A soft wool and felt sandwich
panel formed according to the anatomically correct requirements
of the horse permits our partner, the horse to be free to work.
The spinal column and shoulders are free of pressure to aide the
movement.
The Fit and Tree width of the
Sommer saddle can be changed at any time.
We use our fully flexible
saddle tree which flexes lengthwise and width wise in order to
conform to the movement of the horse and rider instead of being
a rigid component between the two. The head iron above the
withers creates stability for the front of the saddle and moves
down the shoulder blade and back towards the rider as it slopes
downwards
